The Game of SNAP
by Glevum Series? (Roberts Brothers, Gloucester)
This is for the “Cries of London” Snap
The game can be played by any number of persons.
The cards should be dealt round to all the players until exhausted and placed in a pile, face downwards, in front of each player.
Play commences by each player in turn raising the top card of his pile and placing it before him, face upwards, on the table.
Whenever two cards of one kind are turned up, the owner of one of them who first calls ”Snap” can claim as his own the corresponding card, together with all the cards covered by it, and can add them to his own upturned pile.
If both the players call “Snap” and it is doubtful which was first to call out, the disputed cards are to be placed face upwards on the table, and snapped as before.
The player who finally gets all the cards is the winner.
