Dorita Fairlie Bruce
She was born in Spain in 1885 and spent her childhood years attending a boarding school in Roehampton, England. This provided the material for a host of girl's stories. Her best known creation is the character "Dimsie" who first appeared in her first and most collectible book, "The Senior Prefect" which was published by OUP in 1921. Her most sort after books include two historical novels that she published in the early 1930's. "The King's Curate" & "Mistress - Mariner"
