Cicely Mary Barker
Creator of the lovely Flower Fairies and series of books, which showed children portraying various sorts of flowers. She died in 1973, aged 78 .
Her most sought after volume is "The Book of Fairies" which is a compilation of her previous three books and was published by Blackie in 1927.
